IBIS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Impact Business Information Solutions, Inc., d/b/a IBIS ("IBIS", "we", "our", or "us"), collects, uses, and shares your personal information, and the choices you have in connection with this.  This Privacy Policy applies to IBIS' website located at www.ibisworks.com, as well as any online features, products, web pages, and/or programs that we may offer (collectively, the "Web Properties").

 

This Privacy Policy is in effect no matter the method of collection. We will treat any offline collection, uses, and disclosures of your personal information consistently with our online privacy practices set forth in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is not applicable to any mobile application, web page, social media site, personal information or usage information collected and/or owned by anyone other than us. 

 

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

 

A.        Information About Website Users.

 

When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, any other information you choose to include in your correspondence. We use this personal information to respond to your questions or inquiries and address any issues you may have. Please note that IBIS may use this personal information for the limited circumstances described in INFORMATION SHARING.

 

B.        Information About Clients

 

As a client of IBIS, we will collect and use your personal information in the following instances:

 

  • When you become a client of IBIS, we collect your business information (company name, business address) and the name, email address, and telephone number of your business representative. We use this personal information to communicate with you, manage our relationship with you, and facilitate the requested services. 

 

  • IBIS may use this personal information for the limited circumstances described in INFORMATION SHARING.

 

C.        Information About Client End Users

 

In providing its services to its clients, IBIS may collect, use, share, and store "protected health information" received from a client who is a "covered entity" as the "business associate" of our client (as such italicized terms are defined by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, as amended, and its implementing regulations). As a business associate, IBIS cannot use or disclose protected health information in a way that our client itself may not. For information on how our client collects, uses, shares, and stores your protected health information, please refer to their notice of privacy practices.

 

D.        Cookies

 

The Web Properties use essential cookies, which are necessary to provide the Web Properties. Without these cookies, the Web Properties would not operate or function properly. Essential cookies collect information about your usage of the Web Properties and your IP address. This information is necessary to identify your session within the Web Properties so that the Web Properties can respond properly to your actions and requests. These cookies are also utilized to prevent fraudulent use of the Web Properties. Essential cookies cannot be disabled. However, in general, to disable cookies and limit the collection of information through them, you can set your browser to refuse cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent.

 

INFORMATION SHARING

IBIS will share the personal information identified in this Privacy Policy in the following instances:

 

  • Where necessary, IBIS will share your personal information within IBIS to efficiently carry out and improve our business and to the extent permitted by law.

 

  • IBIS will share personal information with service providers that perform services on IBIS' behalf. These service providers include our IT support, and email vendor.

  • If IBIS enters into, or intends to enter into, a transaction that alters the structure of IBIS, such as a reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, joint venture, assignment, consolidation, transfer, change of control, or other disposition of all or any portion of our assets, IBIS would share your personal information with third parties, including the buyer or target (and their agents and advisors) for the purpose of facilitating and completing the transaction. IBIS would also share your personal information with third parties if IBIS undergoes bankruptcy or liquidation, in the course of such proceedings.

 

  • IBIS will share your personal information where legally required, such as in response to court orders, law enforcement or legal process, including for national security purposes; to establish, protect, or exercise our legal rights; to defend against legal claims or demands; to detect, investigate, prevent, or take action against illegal activities, fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the rights, property, or personal safety of any person; or to comply with the requirements of any applicable law.

 

 

CORRECT OR VIEW YOUR INFORMATION

You can access your IBIS account to correct or view certain personal information of yours in our possession and which is associated with your account. 

 

NEVADA RESIDENTS

If you are a consumer who lives in the State of Nevada, you may ask to opt-out of the current or future sale of your personal information. We do not currently sell any of your personal information under Nevada law, nor do we plan to do so in the future. However, you can submit a request to opt-out of future sales by contacting us at [email protected]. Please include "Opt-Out Request Under Nevada Law" in the subject line of your message.

 

DO NOT TRACK

The Web Properties do not support Do Not Track (DNT).  Do not track is a web browser setting that informs a website that you do not want to be tracked. 

 

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The Web Properties are not intended or designed to attract children under the age of thirteen (13).  By using the Web Properties, you affirm that you are more than eighteen (18) years of age, or you are an emancipated minor, and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, affirmations, representations, and warranties set forth in this Privacy Policy, and to abide by and comply with this Privacy Policy.  In any case, by using the Website, you affirm that you are over the age of thirteen (13), as THE WEB PROPERTIES ARE NOT INTENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF THIRTEEN (13).   

 

INFORMATION SECURITY

IBIS has implemented and maintains reasonable security measures to protect the personal information IBIS collects and maintains. These security measures include access controls and as deemed necessary, data encryption. However, no security measure or modality of data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure and IBIS is unable to guarantee the absolute security of the information collected from you.

 

AGE RESTRICTION

The Web Properties is not intended for use by individuals under the age of eighteen (18).

 

YOUR CONSENT TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

By accessing and using the Web Properties, you consent to the collection and use of your information (including personal information) by us as described above, in compliance with this Privacy Policy, unless you inform us otherwise by means of the procedure identified below.

IBIS may change this Privacy Policy in its sole discretion. If we make changes, we will make an effort to post those changes on this page so that you will always be able to understand what information we collect, how we use that information, and under what circumstances we may disclose that information to others.  We encourage you to review our Privacy Policy from time-to-time to stay informed.  Your use of the Web Properties after we publish any changes to this Privacy Policy will signify your assent to and acceptance of the revised terms for all previously collected information and information collected from you in the future.  We may use comments, information or feedback that you may submit in any manner that we may choose without notice or compensation to you.
